Portrait of Camille Summers.

Camille Summers, MA, BCBA

Welcome to Third Wave ABA

At six, due to a special relationship with an autistic friend, I knew I wanted to teach children with autism and other support needs. 2023 marks 30 years that I’ve been in the field of ABA. I have an ever-growing passion for learning and inciting that passion in my clients, parents, colleagues, and our community. Starting as a BT I continued to study in related fields, learning all I could to change the lives of those I served.

To that end, in addition to being a BCBA, my education in Speech and Language Disorders, Early Intervention, Special Education, and Mindful-Based Interventions create a wider frame of reference. Experience as an autism special day class teacher in our public schools, and clinical opportunities both in and out of the US have contributed to my view of working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and increased cultural awareness.

Curiosity, compassion, learning, and growth are part of who I am and continue daily. In recent years I have been encouraged by the movement of neurodiversity, compassionate care, mindfulness, and overall holistic wellness to the forefront.

I’m also a Mom and a knitter. I strive to maintain my own daily meditation practice. I love spending time with my family and animals hiking & biking in our beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains.

“I attribute my love and passion for working with special needs children to Camille.  Camille’s passion for working with children is contagious and inspiring to many.”
